The 2023 Ford Escape performs at the level you would expect any Ford product to. While front-wheel drive is standard, all-wheel drive is available and adds grip and traction. The base Ford Escape comes with a 180-horsepower 1.5-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine. A fiery 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder is also available, using EcoBoost technology to increase power output and efficiency.

The newest model of the Ford Escape gets a radical new design. Ford made changes all over, adding a more aggressive look in the front with modern-looking headlights, revised rear lighting, and some new wheel choices. The trims have been updated, too: choose from Base, Active, ST-Line, or Platinum.
The Base trim includes the essentials, including an eight-inch LCD screen displaying the SYNC 4 operating system, Ford Co-Pilot360 technology, and 17-inch wheels. Active adds silver-painted aluminum wheels, chrome window trim, chrome grille strips, and other upscale touches. The ST-Line adds an aggressive body kit with blacked-out details and race-inspired touches like a flat-bottom steering wheel and sport contour bucket seats. Finally, the Platinum trim rounds the group out and adds additional LED lighting, 19-inch wheels, a larger digital productivity screen, and more. The 2023 Ford Escape is also available as a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV).
